Baby/Toddler Recipes

Aunty Sarah's Mixed Veges & StripsAunty Sarah's Mixed Veges & Strips

The strips are suitable for babies from the age of around 8 months and certainly for young children. They can be used as follows:

  • Dice up a variety of vegetables, i.e. kumura, potato, broccoli, carrot etc.
  • Boil the veges in water for 10 mins (can add a little salt if your child prefers)
  • In a hot fry pan cook 100g of Aria Farm Strips (vary amount of chips to suit amount of veges). Remove from pan.
  • Drain the veges, add the cooked strips and process in a food processor until smooth
(This can be frozen in small amounts for up to 4 weeks). Alternatively, for an older child:
  • Cook a variety of vegetables in water (slightly salted if they prefer) for 15 minutes.
  • Drain and mash (with a little butter and milk for those who prefer).
  • Grill or panfry a handful of chips (per child) and serve alongside the mashed veges as a finger food.
(The strips can be poked into a mound of mashed veges in the form of a hedgehog to make the dinner a little more interesting).
  • Sauces for dipping are also a good idea.
